Salary: £33,594 - £50,589
Hours: 35 per week

Portobello High School is a six-year comprehensive school located in the East of Edinburgh with over 1500 students, mainly from five associated primary schools: Brunstane, Duddingston, Parsons Green, Royal High, and Towerbank.

The school was rebuilt in 2016 and features high-standard facilities. It actively uses these facilities for community engagement and offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, especially in arts and sports. The school maintains positive relationships with parents and seeks to build partnerships with local businesses and the community.

Salaries follow the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If the candidate has spent three or more months outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
