Post: Teacher of Maths (Maternity Cover)

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Salary Range: MPS1 - UPS3 (£31,650 - £49,084 FTE)

Working Type: Full Time

Base: Dyke House Academy, Mapleton Road, Hartlepool, TS24 8NQ

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Dyke House Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Maths (Maternity Cover). The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner capable of inspiring and motivating young people to fulfill their potential, demonstrating the drive and skill to raise standards of attainment and achievement.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Monitoring and tracking student progress within classes, setting high expectations to inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
  2. Promoting good progress and outcomes by demonstrating good subject and curriculum knowledge.
  3. Managing behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
  4. Fulfilling wider professional responsibilities.
