Job summary

Retford Oaks Academy in Retford invites applications for a Teacher of Maths. You will teach across key stages 3, 4 and 5, delivering innovative and creative lessons that challenge and engage students to progress academically and develop personally. The role may include some Science lessons.

This is suitable for new entrants or experienced teachers. We welcome applicants returning after a career break and may offer part-time or flexible working.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Maths across KS3-5 with innovative, creative lessons.

  • Be adaptable to teaching some Science where required.

An opportunity has arisen for you to join our highly focused, dedicated staff in the role of Teacher of Maths. Teaching across key stages 3,4 and 5 we are looking for an excellent practitioner who can deliver innovative and creative lessons which challenge and engage students to progress academically and develop personally during their time at the academy. The ability to also be able to teach some lessons of Science would be preferable.

The opportunity

This post would suit either a new entrant to the profession or an experienced teacher. We would welcome a teacher returning to work after a career break and will consider part time or flexible working where possible.

Essential
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, and a passion for teaching and inspiring students.
  • Experience of delivering engaging and effective lessons in a secondary school setting

  • Understanding of the strategies needed to establish consistently high aspirations and standards of results and behaviour
Desirable
  • Evidence of contributing to writing and implementing relevant plans and resources
  • Experience of teaching A level
