Position: Teacher of Mathematics
Location: Leith Academy
Salary: £33,594 - £50,589
Hours: 35 per week
An enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Mathematics is required to join our thriving team from 11th August 2025. You will join a positive department dedicated to ensuring success in learning for all.
You will be expected to plan and deliver lessons for S1-6 and work collegiately with department members. Leith Academy has 1:1 iPads to enhance learning both in school and at home. The successful applicant should be confident in incorporating digital learning into their classroom.
Leith Academy is a diverse and comprehensive secondary school in Edinburgh with approximately 1079 pupils.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If the candidate has spent 3 or more months outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
