Are you a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics eager to inspire young women to excel in STEM subjects? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, including ECTs, to join our thriving Mathematics department in a high-achieving girls' school in Kensington & Chelsea.

About the Mathematics Department:

The Mathematics department is a dynamic and collaborative team with a shared passion for fostering a love of mathematics in our students. We offer a rigorous and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of mathematical topics, from algebra and geometry to calculus and statistics.

About the Role:

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at GCSE and A Level depending on experience and interest.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including interactive whiteboards, technology, and manipulatives, to bring Mathematics to life for students.
  • Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
  • Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Mathematics curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
  • Foster a love of Mathematics in students, encouraging them to explore the beauty and power of mathematics in the world around them.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Mathematics education.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, such as Maths clubs and competitions.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent (or is eligible to apply).
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching Mathematics and a commitment to student success.
  • Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
