Job summary

Dundee City Council at Greenfield Academy in Scotland is seeking a qualified teacher on a full-time basis for maternity cover until July 2027. The role is 35 hours per week and will be based on site in Dundee.

The successful candidate must be GTCS Registered (Secondary) with knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence, and an awareness of current Scottish education issues. PVG scheme checks will apply prior to a formal offer.

You will deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute, within the collegiate ethos, to the professional life of the school.

The Individual

You will also demonstrate application and knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and have evidence of appropriate Professional Learning in a range of areas. In addition you will have a positive and caring approach and commitment to young people, have good communication/ interpersonal skills and relate well to others. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will require to join the PVG Scheme to undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
