Deans Community High School is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic classroom teacher. The successful candidate will support the school's vision and implement strategies to achieve this vision. This is a key position during an exciting and challenging time for education.
Deans Community High School is a six-year, non-denominational comprehensive school offering a progressive, relevant, challenging, and enjoyable curriculum with opportunities for personalisation and choice. We are committed to engaging students in their learning and ensuring all students experience high-quality education. The current roll is around 1000 pupils.
Our curriculum is broad and varied, emphasizing success in attainment across areas such as music, art, sport, technology, dance, drama, enterprise, and interpersonal skills. The school facilities include a theatre, swimming pool, dance studio, and music suite. Students are encouraged to utilise these through our curriculum and extracurricular activities.

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland are essential.
This position is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before starting work, with costs covered by the candidate.
The fee for Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59, or existing members pay £18.
