Teacher of Mathematics – North Leeds

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join a dynamic and supportive Mathematics department at a thriving 11–18 secondary school in North Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students across all key stages, promoting confidence, logical thinking, and a love for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 teaching available for the right candidate).
  2. Plan, deliver, and assess lessons that support all students to make progress and achieve their potential.
  3. Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and schemes of learning within the department.
  4. Support the wider life of the school through involvement in enrichment and intervention programmes.
  5. Maintain high standards of classroom management, organisation, and planning.
  6. Work collaboratively with colleagues to drive improvement and share best practice.
Person Specification
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • Passion for mathematics education and the ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in learners.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across a range of mathematical topics.
  • A commitment to inclusive teaching and meeting the needs of all learners.
  • A reflective practitioner with a growth mindset and willingness to develop professionally.
