Downe House are seeking to appoint a talented and suitably qualified teacher to join our successful Mathematics Department from January 2026.

Required from January 2026, Full-Time position

Downe House is a leading independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18, based in Cold Ash, Berkshire. Our aim is to provide pupils with a wealth of academic, pastoral and Co-Curricular opportunities to allow them to grow into confident young women, prepared to take on the world.

We are seeking to appoint a talented and suitably qualified graduate to join our successful Mathematics Department from January 2026. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who can inspire and motivate our pupils. You should have the ability to teach Mathematics up to A Level standard.

Full support and mentoring is given to those new to the profession, or this could be an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to further their practice and develop their career within a strong department. We will consider applications from qualified university graduates without a formal teaching qualification.
