Descrição da vaga

Teacher of Mathematics

Required for January 2027

Do you want to work in a popular and successful school where staff professional development and well-being is at the heart of our work?

We are looking for a highly qualified, innovative and inspirational teacher of Mathematics, who is passionate about their subject and who is committed to raising aspirations, and securing sustained progress for all of our students. The Ability to teach Further Maths is advantageous.

You will be joining a forward-thinking faculty, who are all dedicated to their work with our students, and to supporting each other through their collaborative work learning in our school.

Do you want to work in a school that:

  • is friendly and community centred, where staff genuinely feel part of a team;
  • places staff well-being at the heart of everything we do;
  • has excellent student behaviour so teachers can teach and students can learn;
  • prioritises high quality bespoke CPDL as well as opportunities for collaboration and support across a successful and highly respected multi academy trust;
  • is well resourced and where each teacher has their own classroom complete with Clevertouch interactive screen, visualiser as well as a Chromebook.

All teachers have the opportunity to develop their own teaching and leadership qualities, through our own bespoke CPDL programme, following a relevant master's course, NPQs, or off-site training of their own choosing through our bespoke professional learning programme. You will also have the opportunity to engage with good practice across Oxfordshire as we play a significant role within the River Learning Trust and engage with teaching colleagues outside our four walls. Through this partnership, we have a strong focus on educational research to inform our practice, and we link closely with other schools.

Our staff tell us they genuinely feel like part of a team; a team who are striving to help each student flourish both academically and personally. That's important to us, if we are going to embody our vision and if you are our kind of teacher, it will be important to you too.

Education has the power to change lives, communities and society for the better. At RLT we believe that we can achieve more for our pupils, trainees, staff and communities by working together rather than alone. Schools in RLT are united by a common belief in the benefits of working together, and by our commitment to shared principles.

OUR VISION is for our schools and SCITT to improve rapidly, continuously and sustainably: to be better faster together.

OUR 'WHY?' is that children and young people 'only get one go' in school and therefore as part of RLT we aim to ensure the best possible 'go' for our pupils.

OUR 'HOW?' is through the highest support and challenge for our schools and each other, underpinned by our principles.

Our employees benefit from a wide variety of support including extensive continuing professional learning and development opportunities, wellbeing and staff networks and access to Defined Benefit Pension Schemes (TPS and LGPS) for all staff. For more information on what it is like to work for the Trust, and the benefits you could access, please see our "Working in RLT" guide.

This role includes regulated activity relevant to children.

The River Learning Trust and Gosford Hill School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and preventing extremism. The Trust is required to conduct a variety of checks and online searches about you as part of their recruitment process in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. It is an offence to apply for certain roles within schools if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
