Are you committed to excellence and courageous in shaping the future through technology?

If so, Thomas Deacon Academy is looking for you!

Your role:

As a teacher of IT, you will deliver engaging, rigorous IT lessons that bring the curriculum to life and enable every student to progress and achieve their full potential. Your teaching will be purposeful and adaptable, meeting the needs of all learners while stretching the most able. You will plan, assess and provide meaningful feedback, using evidence-based teaching strategies to drive progress and maintain high expectations for all.

You will build positive relationships with students, demonstrating both compassion and courtesy, while creating a focused and inclusive learning environment where confidence can flourish.

You will bring strong subject knowledge in IT or a related field, alongside a recognised teaching qualification and QTS. Your experience will include delivering high-quality lessons at Key Stage 3 and 4, using technology effectively to enhance learning and engagement. You will be skilled in assessment, organisation and classroom management, and able to inspire curiosity through innovative and interactive teaching. Above all, you will be committed to raising achievement and motivated to make a lasting difference.

We would welcome visits to the Academy, please contact Nicky Roger (NRO@tdaeducation), Head of Maths and IT department to arrange a convenient date/time.
