Overview

Job Title: Teacher of ICT and Computer Science

Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire • Salary: £130 - £170 per day • Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education’s Hull branch is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Teacher of ICT and Computer Science in Ripon, North Yorkshire, starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver secondary ICT and Computer Science lessons, adapting schemes of work according to pupil’s abilities.
• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
• Contribute to raising standards of engagement with students.
• Support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.

Qualifications

• Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) with UK-based teaching experience.
• Have recent experience teaching ICT and Computer Science.
• A proven track record of raising attainment within the ICT Department.
• Be a flexible, dedicated education practitioner, with a genuine desire to help young people overcome their barriers to learning.
• Be able to provide 2 relevant teaching references (placements will be accepted for Early Career Teachers).
• Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
