Teacher of Humanities Greenwich Leading Secondary School September 2025

Q - Are you a Teacher of Humanities looking to join an Outstanding Secondary School in September 2025?

An 'Outstanding' and supportive Secondary School in the Borough of Greenwich is seeking a Teacher of Humanities for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time and permanent position.

The current Head of Humanities Department has helped the department grow significantly. The team includes young, experienced, and Teach First teachers, along with multiple Humanities graduate Teaching Assistants who support attainment across KS3, 4 & 5.

This school has achieved excellent Progress 8 results across KS3, 4 & 5 and fosters a fun, creative learning environment for students.

Experienced Humanities teachers can take on TLR roles such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibilities, and more.

Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs) will be enrolled in the school's bespoke ECT induction program and will work alongside a range of experienced Humanities staff.

Person Specification - Teacher of Humanities
  1. Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining it
  2. Strong academic background: Degree, A Levels, GCSEs
  3. Meet the 8 Teaching Standards at 'Good' or 'Outstanding'
  4. Ability to work collaboratively in a large Humanities team
  5. Willingness to receive and act on feedback
