Teacher of Humanities (KS3 Geography, RE with KS4/5 specialism in Geography or RE)

Start date: September 2025

Location: Kettering Science Academy

Salary: MPS/UPS

Hours per week: Full time, permanent

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Key Stage 3 Humanities teacher who would like to be part of a forward-looking team, focused on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences for all students. The successful candidate will be required to teach Geography and RE at Key Stage 3, with the potential to deliver an area of specialist Humanities at Key Stage 4 or 5, should this be of interest. The Social Science and Geography departments are friendly and welcoming teams, committed to providing high-quality teaching and rich experiences for students.

Teaching humanities equips students with invaluable skills essential for navigating the complexities of the world. We seek someone who understands the importance of these subjects for fostering critical thinking, empathy, and understanding human experiences across cultures and time periods. We want someone who can ignite students' curiosity, broaden perspectives, and empower them to become informed, compassionate citizens capable of shaping a brighter future.
