The Portsmouth Academyis seeking to appoint aTeacher of Geography & Historyto join our team ofcommitted professionals teaching our fantastic students from years 7 -11.

As a Teacher of Geography and History, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that captivate and inspire our students. You will assess and monitor student progress to help them achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.You will collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. Additionally, you will actively participate in school life, and professional development opportunities, contributing to the vibrant community at The Portsmouth Academy.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Plan, implement, and deliveran appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for KS3 & KS4 students
  • Monitor and supportthe overall progress and development of students
  • Facilitate and encouragea learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential
  • Contribute to raising standardsof student progress and attainment
  • Integrate the Thinking Schools ethosinto all aspects of school life to develop students as thinkers, enabling them to achieve success and be their best selves
