Job Details

Job Title: Part Time Teacher of Housing (FE / HE)

Location: Derbyshire based at a centrally located, modern FE campus

Contract: Fixed term 12 months with potential for extension

Working Pattern: 1 day per week (0.2 FTE) flexible on which day

Pay: £28,000-£41,700 per year pro rata

About the Role

An Ofsted-rated Good college in Derbyshire is seeking a Teacher of Housing to support adult learners enrolled in professional qualifications, such as the CIH Level 4 Certificate in Housing. Working within a collaborative and well-established curriculum team, youe deliver teaching across FE and HE (up to Level 5), with learners who are already employed in housing-related roles. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking provision that combines industry relevance with strong academic support.

About You

We4re looking for a professional with:

  • A Level 4 Certificate in Housing or Level 5 Diploma in Housing (essential)
  • A teaching qualification and an assessing qualification (desirable)
  • Experience working in a housing organisation at officer level or above (e.g. local authority, housing association, homelessness service, sheltered housing) (desirable)
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence to deliver CIH-aligned content
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
