East Ayrshire Council is looking for a dedicated professional for a temporary full-time teaching position at Stewarton Academy, covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will work 35 hours a week and will play a key role in delivering a creative curriculum while ensuring the well-being of all learners.
Challenge, support, and inspire all learners to achieve the best possible outcomes through the development and delivery of an innovative and creative curriculum. This role aims to promote, deliver, and integrate the key objectives outlined in the Education Plan and the Community Plan.
The duties of this position involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before any formal employment offer is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are continuously updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

This is a temporary full-time position at Stewarton Academy, Stewarton, covering maternity leave. The role involves 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, under the direction of the line manager.
