Evidence of Catholic Church Approval: Applicants must seek Catholic Church approval when submitting their application and provide a copy to the Chair of the Panel prior to the interview. If pending, confirmation of submission will be sought from the Church Representative.
Denominational Primary Posts: Applicants must have the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate. Forms and further information are available from the Scottish Catholic Education Service (SCES) website: https://sces.org.uk/church-approval/
Denominational Secondary Posts: Applicants need RC approval for the specific school. Access forms and information from SCES as above.
This role is considered a Regulated Role with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020. Membership with the PVG scheme is essential; further details can be found here. Successful applicants will be required to join or update their PVG scheme membership prior to employment.
The employment is exempt from section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants must disclose all convictions; failure to do so may result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
