We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our thriving History department in an independent boys' school in Kensington with a focus on historical research and debate. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September 2025.

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including debates, discussions, source analysis, and historical simulations, to bring History to life for students.
  • Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
  • Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our History curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
  • Foster a love of History in students, encouraging them to explore the past, develop their research skills, and engage in critical analysis of historical events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in History education.

Ideal Candidate:
