Position: Teacher of History
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner, if available)
Salary (Actual): £37,913 - £55,494 per year
Grade: MPS/UPS (Depending on experience)

Our client, a dynamic and inclusive secondary academy based in Thamesmead, is seeking a passionate and committed Teacher of History to join their Humanities department on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and KS5 if applicable)

• Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes progress for all pupils

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and effective feedback

• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning

• Engage in the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extra-curricular activities

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a strong team ethos

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A strong subject knowledge and passion for History
