Teacher of Geography (HOD) – Croydon – They are looking for someone who:

  • has QTS with ECT’s being encouraged to apply
  • Is a teacher that is dedicated, professional and passionately demonstrates their classroom talent;
  • Holds a relevant teaching qualification and is an outstanding classroom practitioner.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Has a deep passion for Geography and the ability to instill this enthusiasm in students.
  • Is committed to professional development and can effectively manage the department to maintain high standards.
  • Has experience in curriculum design, assessment, and departmental leadership.
  • Has the energy to build on recent GCSE results and will help to drive forward our high-quality post-16 provision;

  • Lead and manage the Geography department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and deliver a forward-thinking curriculum that inspires and challenges students.
  • Support and mentor Geography teachers, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive school-wide strategies for academic success.
  • Ensure the department achieves high academic outcomes and contributes to the overall success of the school.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Geography, such as field trips and clubs.
