About the Role
Our client, a welcoming and high-achieving all-through school and sixth form based in Ilford, is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Geography to join their Humanities department from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Support students' academic progress through effective assessment and personalised feedback

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum resources

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking

  • Promote a strong culture of learning and achievement within the department

  • Take on the role of form tutor and contribute to the school's pastoral care

  • Participate actively in departmental and whole-school CPD and improvement initiatives

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS (or be on track to achieve QTS by September 2025) and a relevant undergraduate degree in Geography or a related field

  • Be passionate about Geography and committed to inspiring students of all abilities

  • Have a sound understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements at KS3 and KS4

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and strong communication skills
