The Ruth Gorse Academy in Leeds is seeking an outstanding and inspirational Geography Teacher to join our ambitious team. You will inspire students, deliver high-quality teaching and learning, and help pupils reach their full potential.

We welcome both Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers who are committed to raising standards, promoting a love of Geography, and using effective strategies to support disadvantaged pupils.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve QTS.
• Proven record of teaching Geography with strong outcomes at KS3 and/or KS4.
• Knowledge of current educational developments and best practices, including Pupil Premium strategies.

Responsabilités

• Teach Geography to KS3/KS4 students.
• Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that raise standards.
• Support disadvantaged pupils and promote a love of Geography.

The Ruth Gorse Academy is seeking to appoint anoutstanding and inspirational Teacher of Geography to join our successful andambitious team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionatepractitioner to inspire young people, deliver high-quality teaching andlearning, and help students achieve their full potential. The role is suitablefor both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers who arecommitted to raising standards and fostering a love of Geography.

The ideal applicant will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status(QTS) or be on track to achieve QTS.
• A successful record oftaching Geography, with strong outcomes at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4, orthe potential to demonstrate excellence as an ECT.
• A secure understanding ofcurrent educational developments and best practice, including strategies tosupport disadvantaged pupils and the effective use of Pupil Premium funding.
• High expectations of studentachievement, behaviour and engagement.
• A successful record ofteteaching with very good exam results at one or more of KS3 & KS4(applicants who already have gained QTS.
• A detailed knowledge ofcurrent developments in education including the use of the Pupil Premium.
• The ability to put visioninto practice.
