A local education authority in Scotland is seeking a Teacher of Gaelic for a part-time, permanent position at Sir E Scott School. The purpose of this post is to contribute to overall school effectiveness in respect of the following areas:

Subject to the policies of the school and the education authority the duties of teachers are to perform such tasks as the headteacher shall direct having reasonable regard to overall teacher workload related to the following categories:
The successful candidate must have an appropriate degree / diploma and GTC Scotland Registration. Fluency in Gaelic is essential.
The post is subject to membersh ip of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children.
The above teaching post is a part time, permanent position and the salary is in accordance with current regulations plus £2,287 distant islands allowance.
