Our client, a well-regarded secondary school based in Romford, is looking to appoint a passionate Teacher of Food Technology to join their thriving Design & Technology department. The school prides itself on fostering a culture of high expectations, creativity, and practical learning across all year groups.

The Role:

Teaching Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4

Delivering engaging, hands-on lessons that develop students’ culinary skills, nutrition knowledge, and understanding of healthy lifestyles

Planning, preparing, and assessing learning in line with the national curriculum

Contributing to curriculum development and extracurricular activities within the department

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it (for ECTs)

Experience or strong subject knowledge in Food Technology

A solid understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the classroom

The ability to inspire and motivate students with a love for food, cooking, and creativity

Strong classroom management and organisational skills
