Teacher of Food Technology and Nutition
Location: Northampton and Surrounding Areas
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier by negotiation)

Are you a creative and enthusiastic Food Technology teacher with a passion for inspiring young minds? We are looking for a talented Teacher of Food Technology to join a thriving Design & Technology faculty within a forward-thinking secondary school in the Northampton area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an innovative educator to make a real impact, nurturing students' practical skills, nutritional awareness, and love of cooking in a well-equipped and supportive environment.

  • Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 an advantage).

  • Support students to develop confidence in culinary skills, healthy eating, and food science.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities, including clubs and community projects.

  • Work as part of a collaborative and dynamic DT team committed to excellence.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A relevant degree in Food Technology, Hospitality, Nutrition or a related subject.

  • Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting (ECTs are welcome to apply).

  • A genuine passion for food, creativity, and hands-on learning.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • A well-resourced food technology department with modern kitchens and specialist facilities.
