Hours: 35 per week
We are seeking a full-time, permanent teacher of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to join our enthusiastic team. This role will be based in the English department but also involves teaching French and Spanish, making it suitable for a Modern Languages teacher.
Ideal candidates will have experience in teaching ESOL or TEFL, Spanish, and French, and possess the enthusiasm, skills, and creativity to deliver "Success in Learning for All" to our diverse student body. You will collaborate with both the English and Modern Languages faculties to plan and deliver lessons for S1-6 students. Leith Academy utilizes 1:1 iPads to enhance learning, so confidence in incorporating digital tools is essential.

Salaries are in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If the candidate has spent three or more months outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
