Derby College Group in Brighton is seeking a dedicated Equine teacher to plan, resource and deliver high-quality FE riding lessons and practical equine studies. The role includes horse health, behaviour and stable management, plus supporting learning through target setting, progress checks and pastoral support.

You will contribute to course trips, recruitment events and information evenings, and help organise student work experience on the college yard while ensuring all awarding body

• Plan, resource and deliver high-quality teaching and assessment in equine subjects (riding, coaching and practical stable management).

• Support students to achieve their full potential through target setting, progress monitoring and pastoral support.
• Contribute to course trips and visits, student recruitment activities, open events and information evenings.
• Support student work experience on the college yard, ensuring awarding body requirements and standards are met.

Salary: Non-qualified teacher £30,549; qualified teacher £34,239 to £45,987 per annum

As a key member of the Equine team, you will help plan, resource and deliver high-quality teaching and assessment, specialising in riding, coaching and practical stable management, including horse health, behaviour and groundwork. You will lead FE riding lessons, oversee internal quality assurance, and support students to achieve their full potential through target setting, progress monitoring and pastoral support.

You will also contribute to course trips and visits, student recruitment activities, open events and information evenings. In addition, you will support student work experience on the college yard, ensuring all college and awarding body requirements and standards are consistently met.
