Job description

We are looking to appoint a passionate, inspirational Teacher of English. The successful candidate will join a thriving, high-performing and well-resourced department.You will be part of a highly committed team of professionals who are passionate about raising standards and who are determined to further develop the teaching of English and learning outcomes for all students.

In addition candidates will have the opportunity to be considered for a TLR2b Head of Year position.

Alder Community High School is an oversubscribed, 11-16, mixed comprehensive school and is situated in Gee Cross, Hyde within Tameside to the east of Manchester and is close to the borders with Stockport and the Peak District. We can offer excellent facilities, a friendly and supportive environment and opportunities for professional development.

We work collaboratively with a variety of schools within the Greater Manchester area and have active subject networks working together to drive up standards across Tameside.
