Teacher of English, Winchburgh Academy, 35 hours per week, Permanent, Closing Date 21st May 2025

This post has a start date of 11th August 2025 (subject to completion of all recruitment checks)

Winchburgh Academy is a new state-of-the-art secondary school that opened in August 2022, designed to ensure twenty-first-century learning, immersed in creativity and digital technologies. The school also features sports facilities of the highest standard, including sports halls, a 25m swimming pool, and artificial grass outdoor pitches.

Initially, the school opened with a S1 cohort, and the roll is expected to rise year on year to reach a capacity of 660 pupils by 2028. The projected roll in August 2025 is approximately 260 students (S1-S4). There is a future expansion plan that could increase the capacity up to 1,210 pupils. In August 2025, the school will have around 20 teaching staff.
