Required for September is a committed and enthusiastic teacher of English to join our friendly and well-resourced English department. The department has a strong ethos of collaborative working across all key stages. This post would suit an Early Career Teacher (ECT).

Responsibilities include:

  1. To plan, deliver, and teach English lessons and sequences of lessons to meet the individual, personal, and academic developmental needs of students and help build their capacity as independent learners.
  2. To follow the Scheme of Work and assessment programme provided to ensure all students make progress.
  3. To be accountable for student progress by liaising with teaching and support staff to monitor and support individual children and teaching groups.
  4. To participate in the development of appropriate syllabuses, materials, and schemes of work.
  5. To act as Form Tutor of an assigned form and perform related duties in accordance with the general job description of a Form Tutor.

Our 2023 outcomes were the best Key Stage 4 results since 2016. Our Year 7 intake remains oversubscribed, with a waiting list.
