Job summary

Streetly Academy is seeking an English Teacher who is dedicated to fostering literacy and student confidence. Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for someone who:

·Has a strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (experience with Key Stage 5 would be an advantage).

  • Is a proactive team member who is able to work collaboratively to develop effective, creative and innovative teaching and learning strategies across our team.
  • Is committed to promoting literacy and developing students' confidence in reading, writing, and verbal communication.

·Demonstrates creativity in lesson planning, using a range of strategies to engage and challenge learners of all abilities.

  • Can set targets that stretch and challenge students of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions.
  • Has a continued commitment to their own professional development.

Applications are welcomed from both newly qualified and experienced teachers.The successful applicant will be supported by an excellent department. For ECTs, we provide our highly successful ECT programme where you will train alongside other ECTs.This enables aspiring teachers to support and learn from each other, in the true collaborative spirit of teaching. Every member of staff receives the opportunity to complete full Level 1 TEEP (Teacher Effectiveness Enhancement Programme) training course for 3 days.
