Your Mission

As a Teacher of English, you’ll deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that develop students’ literacy, analytical skills, and confidence in communication. You’ll foster a love for storytelling, empower students to express themselves, and prepare them for academic and personal success.

What You’ll Do as Teacher of English

  • Deliver inspiring English lessons across Key Stages.
  • Encourage a love of reading, writing, and discussion.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Assess and track student progress, offering constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking English department.
  • Support extracurricular activities such as book clubs, writing competitions, or drama productions.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and student welfare.

What You Bring as Teacher of English

  • Experience teaching English, ideally in a secondary school setting.
  • A passion for literature, language, and student development.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to inclusivity, creativity, and academic excellence.
  • Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
