We are looking for candidates with enthusiasm, high expectations and standards who will have an outstanding impact both within and beyond the confines of the classroom. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to deliver excellent academic results and exemplary classroom practice. This position is equally suitable for an experienced teacher and one new to the profession.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach English at both KS3 and KS4. In the future there may be the opportunity to teach English and/or Classics at A Level.

The English results are very strong both at GCSE (82% achieving grade 4 or higher and 73% achieving a grade 5 or higher in 2025) and at A' level (86% A-B in 2025). The English Faculty is proud of the success of their students at both GCSE and A level, and of the many students who take their English studies further at university.

The School has a vibrant extra-curricular life, which includes sport, music, outdoor education, musical theatre, drama and public speaking. A willingness to contribute will be a clear advantage.
