We are recruiting an exceptional English Teacher to support the next stage of development of a genuinely transformational school. We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate the highest expectations of pupil effort and conduct, and are able to do so with kindness and warmth.,

• Leaders at Soane prevent unnecessary demands on teacher time - meetings, marking and administrative tasks are minimised to ensure teachers can be highly effective. The curriculum and resourcing ensure that teachers rarely plan alone: staff time is used where it is most valuable: working as a team to implement the curriculum for the stud ents in our classrooms.

  The successful candidate will join a very accomplished English department with excellent outcomes, achieving 98.2% Grade 4+ in English Literature, 49.4% of which were Grade 7+, as well as 94.5% Grade 4+ in English Language at GCSE level. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to shape the English provision at Soane, embed the school vision and develop an outstanding school that empowers our pupils to take responsibility and drive their own destinies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the school, be supported in their development and preparation for future roles.
  Ark Soane Academy is an Ofsted outstanding secondary school located in Acton. Our 2021 founding cohort sat their GCSEs in 2026, and achieved outstanding results, with 90% of our pupils achieving a 4 or above in English and Maths. We opened our A-level provision in September 2026 and there are now 1,000 pupils enrolled from Years 7-12.
