Job description

Overview

Required for January 2026. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Teacher of Electronics and Engineering to join our flourishing, dynamic department from January 2026 on a full-time basis (part-time will be considered). The successful candidate will teach Electronics to GCSE and A level, Engineering to A level, and KS3 Design and Technology to boys in Years 7, 8 and 9.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Electronics to GCSE and A level; teach Engineering to A level; teach KS3 Design and Technology to boys in Years 7–9.
  • Contribute to the Design, Technology and Engineering (DTE) Department which has five teaching rooms/workshops, a dedicated electronics laboratory, and access to CAD, laser cutting, CNC and 3D printing facilities.
  • Support and participate in an open workshop policy, encouraging pupils to work during lunchtimes and study periods.
  • Engage in curricular development within the DTE Department and contribute to extra-curricular life of the School.
Requirements
  • Well-qualified graduate in Engineering or a closely related field; the position may suit a newly qualified teacher or an experienced practitioner.
  • A strong classroom practitioner who can inspire students and nurture learners of varying confidence levels in Electronics, Engineering and Technology.
  • Willingness to contribute to the School’s extra-curricular life.
