Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a qualified teacher of Drama and Performing Arts looking for a new role starting September 2024 in Manchester?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic Drama teacher to join a large secondary academy in Manchester.

This is a full-time, temporary supply teaching role from September 2024 to July 2025.

The Role
  • Teacher of Drama and Performing Arts.
  • Five days a week.
  • Teaching Key Stage 3 Drama and BTEC Performing Arts.
  • Understanding of performance texts and their social, cultural, and historical contexts.
  • Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of theatre makers in contemporary practice.
  • Proficiency in drama and theatre terminology and appropriate usage.
  • Experience teaching other subjects such as English or Music to Key Stage 3 is beneficial.

The academy is interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS practitioners, and further education specialists with experience teaching drama or performing arts to students aged 11 to 16.

Requirements to succeed in this role
  • Hold QTS Status, QTLS, or equivalent further education qualifications such as PGCE or Certificate of Education.
