About St Catherine's

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate excellent planning, teaching and assessment skills and have high expectations, excellent classroom management skills, strong pastoral skills and the ability to motivate, encourage and inspire pupils. You will be expected to play a full and positive part in the life of the School.

Departments

The English Department is housed in a series of large and well‑resourced classrooms, each with an interactive whiteboard. Classes from Years 7 to 11 are set by ability. The department follows the CIE IGCSE syllabus for English Language, Edexcel IGCSE for English Literature, and Edexcel for A Level.

The Performing Arts Department is an exciting area of the School, with Drama, Music and Dance integral to the creative development of each student. There are three well‑equipped practical spaces for teaching and learning, including a Drama Studio and the Creative Hub. GCSE and A Level Drama follow the EDUQAS specifications. In addition, there is a rich co‑curricular offer for the pupils, including regular performance opportunities.
