Job description

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Drama Teacher with experience teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 to join a vibrant team in a thriving secondary school in Oxfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is enthusiastic about performing arts and committed to nurturing creativity in young learners.

As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic and engaging lessons, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and inspiring students to reach their full potential in Drama and the Performing Arts. You will also contribute to the wider school community and actively support the promotion of the Arts within the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Drama lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and performance.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Contribute to school performances, extracurricular activities, and the wider promotion of Performing Arts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support the school's commitment to academic and artistic excellence.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified teacher with experience teaching Drama at KS3 and KS4.
  • A genuine passion for Drama and the wider Performing Arts.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching or supporting Performing Arts is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in another teaching role will be considered.
