Job summary

Oasis Academy Mayfield is seeking a proactive Teacher of Design Technology to lead practical lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will teach Design Technology with flexibility to cover 3D Design and Food, bringing creativity and high standards to the classroom.

We welcome applicants who enjoy collaboration, are committed to strong student outcomes, and can contribute to curriculum development while upholding safeguarding and academy policies.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Design Technology to KS3/KS4.
• Experience or willingness to teach 3D Design and/or Food is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Teach practical lessons across KS3 and KS4 to a high standard.
• Deliver a mixture of 3D Design and Food teaching as required.

About us:

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology to join our academy. The successful candidate will be required to teach practical lessons across KS3 and KS4 to the highest standard, with the flexibility and enthusiasm to teach a mixture of 3D Design and Food. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a positive difference to academy life and to help shape the future of Design Technology at Oasis Academy Mayfield.

You must be able to use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate our students, bringing Design Technology to life through engaging, practical and ambitious learning experiences. We are looking for a passionate teacher who is committed to high standards, enjoys sharing best practice with colleagues and is keen to contribute to the continued development of our curriculum.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape our KS3 Design Technology curriculum and contribute to the development of the KS4 options offer. Experience of teaching 3D Design and/or Food would be an advantage, but we welcome applications from colleagues with the skills, creativity and willingness to teach across these areas. Flexible working requests, part time applications and applications from ECTs are all welcome.
