About Us

Full time/Part time: full time or part time - 0.8FTE

Contract: Temporary Contract, up to 1-year

Reporting to: Head of Cluster

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-qualified Product Design specialist to join our dynamic and supportive department. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving team in a well-resourced and forward-thinking school.

The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge and expertise in product design practices, including CAD/CAM. You will be confident in teaching KS3 Design & Technology and GCSE Product Design. The ability to teach A Level 3D Design would be an advantage.

You will benefit from exceptional, purpose-built facilities, a collaborative team, and excellent support to help you thrive in your role.

This is a temporary post for up to 1 year. It is available as a full-time role or part-time (ideally 0.8), with 0.6 considered for an exceptional candidate.

The successful candidate will:

  • have a good relevant first degree and be QTS qualified by the start date
  • have the subject knowledge and experience to teach KS3 DT and GCSE Product Design
  • be able to motivate and inspire students to love Design and Technology
  • be committed to working successfully as a member of a team
  • have very strong organisational and interpersonal skills
