Job summary

Academics is seeking a passionate Teacher of Design & Technology to join our vibrant Art & Design Faculty in the Watford area. You will lead KS3 Product Design and be comfortable delivering Food or Textiles, with involvement across KS4 and a flourishing A Level programme.

The salary is on the Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale (including Fringe Allowance) and reflects qualifications and experience, with excellent professional development and modern facilities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Design & Technology teacher with expertise in Product Design.
• Willingness to teach KS3 Product Design and contribute via Food or Textiles.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and support the next generation of designers, creators, and innovators.
• Deliver Design & Technology across KS3 with flexible KS4/A Level contributions.
• Collaborate within the Art & Design Faculty to enhance learning and outcomes.
• Contribute to curriculum development and use of modern DT facilities.

With 16 classes at Key Stage 4 and a flourishing A Level programme in Art, Photography, and Product Design, our faculty continues to grow from strength to strength.

We are seeking a talented Product Design specialist who is also comfortable delivering Food or Textiles at Key Stage 3. You will be joining a team of experienced, supportive, and collaborative colleagues, all committed to helping staff and students thrive.
