Teacher of Design and Technology

Location: Independent School

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Teacher of Design and Technology to join a thriving and well-resourced department at a leading independent school, renowned for its academic excellence and vibrant co-curricular life.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to inspire pupils across the age range (Key Stage 3 to A-Level), with the ability to deliver engaging and rigorous lessons that foster creativity, problem-solving, and a deep appreciation for design. A specialism in resistant materials would be desirable, but we welcome applications from candidates with expertise in other areas of the subject.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a dynamic and reflective practitioner with a strong subject knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for Design and Technology and an ability to communicate this to students.
  • Have experience (or the potential) to teach up to A-Level.
  • Contribute fully to the wider life of the school, including co-curricular and pastoral responsibilities.
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (applications from ECTs are welcome).
