Salary: £27,238 - £45,109 (Pro rata salary £13,619 - £22,554).Incremental progression throughout the band is available.

Contract Type: Permanent | Hours per Week: 0.5 FTE | Location: Pendleton Sixth Form College, Dronfield Road, M6 7FR

About the Role

This is a highly exciting job opportunity for a Musical Theatre Dance teacher with specialisms in ballet, tap and jazz preferred, to join our outstanding Performing arts team.

Working within the Performing Arts department, you will be joining a team of people who are dedicated to supporting students to achieve outstanding outcomes. The successful candidate must be an excellent practitioner who shares our passion for creativity, education and raising aspirations We pride ourselves on the quality of our provision and the high expectations we have of ourselves and our students The department delivers BTEC Dance and Musical Theatre, HNC Musical Theatre and A- Level Dance as well as a wide range of enrichment initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of delivering Dance / Musical Theatre at post-16 and should be a classically trained practitioner with the ability to successfully teach a range of musical theatre dance styles.

You will be a flexible and inspiring teacher with a range of skills to support curriculum delivery on Musical theatre BTEC and the development and training of our performers. You will be organised with excellent communication skills and familiar with the BTEC Level 3 Musical Theatre qualification. You will support the progression from the department onto Dance and Drama UK accredited schools, therefore industry experience is desirable.
