Teaching Dance and PE Teacher

Teaching Dance and PE is a key role within the Academy, ensuring the achievement of the Academy’s vision of excellence in the Performing Arts and PE departments. The successful applicant will lead learning with a focus on high-quality teaching, fostering a love for the subjects, and offering students diverse, high-quality experiences both inside and outside the classroom.

The candidate should be able to inspire and motivate students, uphold high standards, and contribute to the Academy's goal of becoming a centre of excellence. The Dance department features a dedicated studio and theatre, while the PE department offers a range of sports including football, netball, rounders, OAA, volleyball, tennis, and athletics. We also provide BTEC and GCSE PE courses.

Extra-curricular activities, competitions, and partnerships such as the Manchester Schools PE Association and the Manchester United Foundation are integral to our program. The school has a successful record in various sports competitions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Carry out professional duties as a school teacher in accordance with the school’s pay and conditions and professional standards.
  2. Deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum.
  3. Provide opportunities for pupils to reach their full potential and achieve good progress.
  4. Support pupils' overall progress and development as a form tutor.
