Winchburgh Academy is a new state-of-the-art secondary school which opened in August 2022, designed to ensure twenty-first century learning, immersed in creativity and digital technologies. The school also boasts sports facilities of the highest standard, including sports halls, a 25m swimming pool, and artificial grass outdoor pitches.
Initially, the school opened with a S1 cohort, and the roll is anticipated to rise year on year to reach its initial capacity of 660 pupils by 2028. The projected school roll in August 2025 is approximately 260 students (S1-S4). There is a future expansion strategy that considers increasing the capacity up to 1,210 pupils. As of August 2025, the school will have around 20 teaching staff.
