Winchburgh Academy is a new state-of-the-art secondary school that opened in August 2022, designed to promote twenty-first-century learning, creativity, and digital technologies. The school boasts top-tier sports facilities, including sports halls, a 25m swimming pool, and artificial grass outdoor pitches.
Initially opening with a S1 cohort, the school's roll is expected to grow annually to reach a capacity of 660 pupils by 2028. In August 2025, the expected roll is approximately 260 students (S1-S4). There are plans for future expansion, potentially increasing capacity to 1,210 pupils. As of August 2025, the school will have around 20 teaching staff.

Applicants must possess a relevant teaching qualification and be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland.
