Job Description
Required: September 2025
Streatham & Clapham High School (SCHS) is seeking a dynamic and inspirational teacher with a passion in Computer Science, Design Technology (DT), and Engineering to join our dedicated team.
In this role, you will teach Computer Science from Years 7 to 11, with the opportunity to teach A Level if suitably qualified, and Design Technology and Engineering across Years 7 to 11. You will also play a key role in preparing students for university applications and degree apprenticeships, while establishing strong links with relevant university departments and faculties.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in teaching either Design Technology or Computer Science at GCSE and A Level, with a demonstrated track record of academic success in these subjects. We are looking for someone who embodies our values of kindness, compassion, integrity, and respect.
The Departments
The DT/Engineering and Computer Science departments are an intrinsic part of our commitment to advancing women in STEM. Both departments share a vision of excellence and aim to inspire a passion for technology and engineering in our students.
The Computer Science department benefits from a brand-new refurbishment, including a dedicated podcasting booth, and the DT department is undergoing further improvements this summer. Approximately two-thirds of our students achieve grades 9-7 at GCSE.
