Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with a flair for teaching Computing and ICT? If so, GSL are providing a great opportunity for you to work at a client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire, starting in September 2025.

Teacher of Computing and ICT Responsibilities:

• Create engaging and dynamic lessons for KS3 and GCSE students, ensuring a deep understanding of Computing and ICT concepts.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Computing and ICT curriculum, aligning with national standards.
• Assessing student progress: Regularly assess students' understanding and progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, and examinations.
• Recognize and address the unique learning needs of students by providing individualized support and guidance.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
• Bring innovative teaching methods and a creative approach to the delivery of Computing and ICT concepts

Teacher of Computing and ICT Requirements:

• Possession of PGCE with QTS is essential, with a focus on Computing and ICT education.
• A strong background in Computing and ICT, with knowledge of KS3 and GCSE curriculum requirements.
• Capacity to educate throughout the age and ability range.
• Have the capability to foster curiosity and interest for the subject.
• Strong command of the curriculum and good behaviour management skills.
• Be committed to child protection, safeguarding and pupil welfare.
• Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
