Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Computing to join our forward thinking Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire young people and develop their digital, technical and creative skills, who will make a substantial contribution to the further development of this "GOOD" school. You will have the qualities to motivate and inspire our students, strong classroom management skills, be a team player and have the ability to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high quality teaching across KS3 and KS4.
  • Shape an engaging curriculum that reflects current industry practice and prepares students for further study and future careers in technology and media.
  • Utilise and develop the use of our dedicated gaming room, equipped to support teaching and enrichment in areas such as game design, programming, digital media, esports and computational thinking.
  • Creatively integrate this space into lessons, clubs and enrichment activities to enhance student engagement and learning.
Requirements
  • Be able to teach Computer Science and/or Creative iMedia to at least GCSE level (essential).
  • Passionate about digital literacy, creativity and innovation, working as a team player to support the continued development of faculty curriculums.
  • Demonstrate a strong presence in the classroom having the ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Have a commitment to inclusive education and high standards of achievement.
